LMRD™ laser methane remote detector is an ultra-light and ultra-high precision instrument that utilizes laser echo to telemetry methane.The measurement principle is:The instrument emits a tunable laser with a wavelength of about
1650nm.Laser hit the measured surface, with the occurrence of diffuse reflection.Part of the diffuse reflection
of light is received by the same instrument.By analyzing the received signal,it can be found that the average
methane concentration in the path that the laser passed.
LMRD™ laser methane remote detector can accurately report the leakage of low concentration of indoor
methane gas 50 meters away.Its actual working situation (20meters away from the double glass) detection
limit can up to 10ppm*m.There is no false positives for indoor no leakage situation.
LMRD™ laser methane remote detector can detect the presence of air leaks in the room through the kitchen
glass,has high sensitivity.In the test of true 6000 users,our laser methane remote detector detects more than
10 households indoor gas leak.

When the laser beam points to the detection target such as gas pipes, walls,it will be reflected from the
target back to the scattered laser.If there is a methane gas between the laser methane remote detector and
the reflecting surface,infrared laser will be absorbed.The detector receives the reflected laser and measures
its absorption rate,in order to determine whether the leak has occurred.
LMRD™ laser methane remote detector uses methane gas to absorb specific wavelengths of infrared
light,the concentration of gas is calculated by measuring the degree of infrared light being absorbed.
